​Massage Therapy Covered by Auto Insurance or L&I Claim

 

If you’ve been injured in an auto accident or at work palce, your massage therapy may be 100% covered by your auto insurance—meaning no out-of-pocket cost to you.

 

Suppose you're still dealing with pain in your neck, back, shoulder, or sciatic discomfort after an accident. In that case, our therapeutic massage services can support your recovery and help relieve those lingering symptoms.

Massage Therapy Covered by Health Insurance

Depending on your insurance plan, you may have different amount of copay or coinsurance for your massage therapy sessions.

We’re happy to help verify your benefits, but please note: verification does not guarantee coverage. If your claim is denied, you’ll be responsible for full payment.

• Providence

• Regence BlueCross BlueShield

• Cigna

• HMA

• Bridge Span

• VA

If your insurance is not listed, you may still have out-of-network coverage 

 

Depending on your insurance plan, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement for your massage therapy sessions. 

 

To find out if your plan includes out-of-network massage benefits and how much it will cover, please contact your insurance company directly using the customer service number on your insurance ID card.

 

Unfortunately, we’re unable to make this call for you, as insurance companies typically only release benefit information to the policyholder.

 

Once your session is complete, we can provide you with an itemized receipt (Superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. 

 

How to Use Your Insurance for Massage Therapy

1. Verify Your Benefits
Call your insurance company to confirm your massage therapy coverage. Or, ask us for help checking through provider portal.

-- For health insurance, we will need your insurance ID number along with your Date of Birth.

-- For auto insurance or L&I claim, we will need your claim number, your Date of Birth, adjuster name, adjuster contact information, and date of  injury. ​

2. Get a Referral or Prescription if requested
Ask your doctor, chiropractor, or other licensed provider for a massage therapy referral. It must include:

• Date issued

• Diagnosis & ICD-10 code

• Number of sessions & treatment duration

• Provider’s name & signature (physical or electronic)

• Have them email it to info@meilmt.com or fax to 360-583-3500

3. Schedule Your Appointment
Once your benefits are confirmed, book your massage session.

4. Complete Paperwork
Arrive on time to fill out the required insurance paperwork—or complete it online by using New Patient Intake Form below beforehand to save time.
